3- SHAWN MICHAELS vs. KANE

As Tazz and JR discussed how dark and evil Kane and his brother, The Undertaker, are, HBK started off chopping at Kane. The big man came back with a shoulderblock before a missed elbow. Shawn countered, going low, aiming cut the giant's knees out from under him. Big uppercut though from Kane ended that short surge. Kane's still got one of the best uppercuts in the business. More right hands from Kane in the corner until Shawn threw a desperation right hand to create some separation between the them. HBK did the flip sell in the corner and fell to ringside as they went to commercial.

Kane was still in control out of break. He hit a running corner clothesline for a near-fall then immediately began to work on HBK's left arm and shoulder. Low dropkick by Kane got a two-count from referee Marty Elias. Kane working very scientifically this match. Michaels started a comeback with right hands and chops followed by a Swinging Neckbreaker which landed both men on the mat. and both men were down.

Shawn's inverted atomic drop was blocked by Kane, who went to go for a Chokeslam that HBK blocked and gained advantage hitting the atomic drop then an elbow off the top rope that caught Kane in the knee. Kane climbed up top and unleashed a Clothesline off the top rope to be followed by a Chokeslam which was stopped short by Sweet Chin Music. Michaels scrambled to roll Kane up for the winning pin.

WINNER: Michaels, at 11:21. One of Kane's better matches.
