FEAR to the 2nd Power!

SmackDown!

APR 27, 2007
London, England
Aired on The WC
8:00 pm

Wrestling fans the world over were witness to one of the most bizarre pairings in the WWE tag-team genre ~ this week, William Regal and Dave Taylor saw ring action against the unlikely duo of KANE and The Boogeyman!

KANE kept a keen eye on his worm-eating hell-spawn of a partner as he came to join him in the ring.  As the crouching demon-son stood before him, munching happily on wiggling bits of protein, KANE let a slow smile creep lopsidedly across his face.  Regal and Taylor weren't as amused . . .

The match started with KANE holding his own against the Brits until Taylor sends KANE sideways into the ring post.  Taylor and Regal now gain the upper hand as they work KANE's injured shoulder and keep him from tagging in his partner.  When Boogey DOES get the tag, it's all over but the shoutin' as he scrambles all over Regal.  Taylor comes in to breakup a pinfall, but KANE quickly steps in, and as the ref and Boogey force Taylor out of the picture, KANE delivers a big-boot to Regal!  Boogey makes the pin as KANE grins from his corner.  As the Brits make haste,  Boogey celebrates, getting a bat's-eye-view as KANE sets off his pyros.  Boogey then offers the Big Guy some worms ~ KANE is amused, but declines to partake.  The two leave the the ring as Michael Cole comments on JBL's disgusted expression.

Melee in Milan

SmackDown!

APR 20, 2007
Milan, Italy
Aired on The WC
8:00 pm

In this 400th episode of SmackDown!, Regal and Taylor wait in the ring as KANE makes his fiery entrance. I still love to see THE FIRE STILL BURNS blazing on the screen as the stoic figure of KANE takes to the platform! Regal and Taylor are being held at bay inside the ring by the ref, Jim Korderas while KANE grabs the top rop and steps up and into the ring. The bell signals the start of this Handicap Match as Taylor moves to the apron corner and Regal takes KANE on.

KANE easily handles Regal then Taylor, until Regal trips KANE up into the steel steps on the outside. Dazed, KANE can't seem to get it together enough to ward off Regal and Taylor's attacks. The crowd tries to rally KANE by chanting his name, but the beatings kept coming. When one man got winded, he'd tag in the other for a fresh beatdown to KANE - with KANE occassionally getting in a brain-jarring blow to either opponent.

Something must have clicked in KANE after Regal came off the ropes and nearly took KANE's head off with a kick - Taylor suddenly find themselves flat on their backs from a double clothesline! KANE then works over his foes, tossing Taylor out of the ring then delivering a Sidewalk Slam to Regal. KANE goes top rope and lands a flying clothesling to Regal, turns and delivers a Big Boot to Taylor! Regal rolls out of the ring, Taylor gets up and is clotheslined out of the ring, KANE stares menacingly at both men as they stumble about on the outside. They've had enough! The Brits LEAVE - stunning the crowd, the ref and a very steamed KANE! The match goes to KANE, by count out.

Later, in the back, Regal and Taylor grouse to Teddy Long about being put in the ring with KANE. They shouldn't have to be anywhere near him! Long reminds them they are in the WWE for competition and tells them next week they will go up against KANE. Regal says they don't want to be in the ring with KANE - they're trying to get as far away from him as they can. Long says they will have KANE next week, in a tag match, and KANE's partner will be . . . The BoogeyMan! Regal and Taylor are stunned.

(Not televised) The fantastic fans in Milan got to see KANE at the end of the show as he storms down the ramp after Kennedy and Finlay double-teamed The UnderTaker. Teddy Long comes out and declares a Tag Match there and then! 'Taker and KANE win with stereo-ChokeSlams to Finlay and Kennedy to the delight of the crowd.

A KANE Cameo

SmackDown!

FEB 16, 2007
Seattle, WA
Aired on The WC
8:00 pm

Booker and Sharmell host "At The Movies" a movie review, and the movie d'jour is KANE's See No Evil.  Booker says he doesn't see an evil man but a disturbed one. Booker sees him being vanquished at No Way Out - vanquished by King Booker. Does KANE inspire fear?

A clip is shown from the movie where KANE comes through a wall and attacks his victims.  Booker and Sharmell are laughing madly and Booker says the Muppets are scarier than KANE! Booker contends the movie has no style, no sense of menace. Booker demonstrates what he'd have done in the movie, using an overlay of him and an axe dubbed over the movie. In the background he's people to run from him, the King of the World. Sharmell cheers him on and Booker says he doesn't fear KANE at all!

The lights go out, the room is cast in a red glow. Haunting music wafts through the air as we hear the menacing voice of KANE. "This Sunday, there is No Way Out . . ." KANE rips the back-drop curtain with a knife and puts his head through as the terrified self-made monarch and his queen book out of there! Once again KANE takes the last laugh.

WWE Wrestlers on Smallville

KANE and Ashley headed north to Vancouver, B.C., last week to film guest spots on the hit CW series, Smallville. WWE.com was there as the SmackDown Superstars showed off their acting and fighting skills on set.

"KANE is playing Titan, a badass alien cyborg-type creature who escaped from the Phantom Zone," Ashley explained. "I'm playing an ass-kicking babe named Athena. I'm a security guard at the fight club in the prison." [spoiler]

This will be the second episode of Smallville's sixth season that will feature WWE wrestlers guest starring as characters that had escaped from the Phantom Zone at the beginning of the season. The first episode was from November 2006 titled "Static" which featured current World Heavyweight Champion Batista as a "Zoner" called Aldar.

There is no information on whether any other wrestlers may guest star on Smallville this season or next, but with SmackDown! and Smallville both being some of the most popular shows on their network, it seems likely that WWE and the CW will continue to put SmackDown! and maybe other superstars on the CW's more popular shows.

The episode titled "Combat" is set to air on The CW, March 22nd.
